Commercial Content, Advertising & Intellectual Property Notice
How to read the information on techmaster.us, what Techmaster Electronics offers as a service, and how we treat trademarks, copyright and search-engine content.
Summary
- We only provide calibration services that are within our documented scope. Our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation (ANAB Certificate AC-1736) covers only the parameters, ranges and locations listed on our published scope of accreditation.
- Informational content is not an offer of service. Articles, buyer guides, comparisons and brand reviews on this website are for general information only.
- A service is offered only when we confirm it in a written quotation. If anything on this website conflicts with a written quotation, order acknowledgment or calibration certificate, the written document controls.
- Brand names identify products only. Mentioning a manufacturer, brand or model does not mean Techmaster services that equipment or is affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by its owner.
- Our advertising follows U.S. advertising law. Paid ads, including Google Ads, are our responsibility. Buying ads does not change what we are accountable for, and our ads describe only services within our Scope.
- We cooperate with manufacturers and brand owners. We correct content on notice, refer customers to the manufacturer when service is outside our Scope, and help them find the right provider.
- Search engines write their own summaries. Search-result titles, snippets and AI-generated summaries are produced by the search provider, not by Techmaster, and do not change the scope of our services.

1Purpose and definitions
This Notice explains how the content published by Techmaster Electronics (“Techmaster,” “we,” “us”) should be understood. Its purpose is to prevent any customer, prospective customer or other reader from being misled about the nature, characteristics or availability of our services. It supplements our Terms and Conditions of Use.
2Scope of services
Techmaster provides calibration services only for instruments, parameters and ranges that fall within its Scope. Our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation (ANAB Certificate AC-1736) applies only to the parameters, ranges, measurement uncertainties and laboratory locations stated on our published scope of accreditation. It does not extend to any other instrument, parameter, range or location.
We do not represent, and nothing on this website should be read to represent, that Techmaster can calibrate every make or model of an instrument type. Capability depends on the specific instrument, its required procedures and any manufacturer requirements (see Section 5). Some instrument categories are outside our Scope entirely. For example, Techmaster does not calibrate particle counters of any make or model; see our Customer Notice on particle counter calibration.
3Informational content
Informational Content is published for general educational purposes. It may describe instruments, brands, procedures or services that Techmaster does not provide. Informational Content:
- is not an offer, solicitation or representation that Techmaster performs the service or supports the equipment described;
- is not professional, engineering, regulatory or legal advice, and should not replace the manufacturer’s instructions or your own quality system requirements;
- reflects information believed to be accurate on the date of publication, and may become outdated as standards, products and our Scope change.
Where a page discusses an instrument category outside our Scope, we mark it with a notice stating that the content is informational and that Techmaster does not provide that service.
4No offer; written terms control
Website content, including Commercial Content, is an invitation to request a quotation. It is not a binding offer capable of acceptance. A service is offered only when Techmaster confirms it in a written quotation that identifies the instrument and the service to be performed. The quotation, our order acknowledgment and the resulting calibration certificate define what was agreed and performed.
If any statement on this website, in an advertisement or in a search-engine summary conflicts with those written documents, the written documents control. If you are unsure whether an instrument is within our Scope, please ask us before you ship it.
5Manufacturer requirements and proprietary software
Some manufacturers restrict the calibration, adjustment or servicing of their instruments to proprietary software, firmware, tools or procedures that are licensed only to the manufacturer or its authorized service providers. Techmaster respects those restrictions:
- We do not claim to hold any license, authorization or proprietary software that we have not been granted.
- We do not offer services that would require circumventing a manufacturer’s access controls or license terms.
- If your instrument requires the manufacturer’s or an authorized provider’s service, you are free to select that provider, and we encourage you to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- On request, and with your permission, we will forward your service inquiry to the manufacturer.
6Third-party trademarks
Product names, model designations, logos and brand names that appear on this website are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Techmaster refers to them only to identify the equipment being discussed. This is a nominative use: the product cannot readily be identified without its name; we use only as much of the mark as is reasonably necessary; and we do not suggest sponsorship or endorsement by the trademark owner.
Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, Techmaster is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by or endorsed by any manufacturer whose products are mentioned on this website. A reference to a brand or model, including in comparisons, rankings or reviews, does not mean that Techmaster calibrates, repairs, sells or rents that equipment.
“Techmaster” and “Techmaster Electronics” and our logos are our own marks. They may not be used in a way that suggests our endorsement without our written permission.
7Copyright
The text, graphics, infographics, photographs and page designs on techmaster.us are owned by Techmaster or used under license or with permission, and are protected by United States copyright law (Title 17, U.S. Code). You may view and print pages for your own internal, non-commercial reference. Any other reproduction, distribution, modification or republication requires our prior written consent, except as permitted by law, including fair use under 17 U.S.C. §107.
We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe content on this website infringes your copyright or trademark, please send a written notice to quality@techmaster.us. For copyright notices, please include the elements described in 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):
- identification of the copyrighted work and of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information for us to locate it (for example, the page URL);
- your contact information;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We review every notice and remove or correct material where appropriate.
8Advertising standards, Google Ads and search engines
8.1 Laws that govern our advertising. All Techmaster advertising, including paid search ads, website copy, social media posts, emails and quotations, is subject to United States federal and state advertising law, and is prepared to comply with it. In particular:
- FTC Act, Section 5 (15 U.S.C. §45) prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in commerce. Under the FTC Policy Statement on Deception (1983), an advertisement is deceptive if it contains a representation or omission that is likely to mislead a consumer acting reasonably in the circumstances, and that representation is material to the consumer’s decision.
- Advertising substantiation. Under the FTC Policy Statement Regarding Advertising Substantiation (1984), an advertiser must have a reasonable basis for objective claims before they are disseminated. Techmaster makes objective claims, such as accreditation, measurement ranges, laboratory locations and turnaround times, only when they are supported by our scope of accreditation, certificates or records.
- Lanham Act, Section 43(a) (15 U.S.C. §1125(a)) prohibits commercial advertising that misrepresents the nature, characteristics or qualities of goods or services, and any statement likely to cause confusion about affiliation, sponsorship or approval.
- California False Advertising Law and Unfair Competition Law (Business and Professions Code §17500 and §17200) prohibit advertising statements that are untrue or misleading and that are known, or by the exercise of reasonable care should be known, to be untrue or misleading.
- Comparative advertising. The FTC encourages truthful, non-deceptive comparisons that name competitors, provided the comparison is clear (16 C.F.R. §14.15). Our product comparisons and brand overviews are factual and informational, and are not claims that Techmaster services the products compared.
8.2 Disclosures do not replace accuracy. Under FTC guidance (“.com Disclosures,” 2013), disclosures must be clear and conspicuous, and a disclaimer cannot cure a false or misleading claim. This Notice therefore supplements, and does not replace, our obligation to make accurate statements in every advertisement and on every page.
8.3 Paid search advertising (Google Ads). Techmaster may purchase paid search and display advertising, including through Google Ads. Paid placements are identified by the platform with a label such as “Sponsored.” Payment affects only the placement of advertisements. It does not buy organic search rankings, and it does not reduce Techmaster’s responsibility for the content of its advertisements. Techmaster is responsible for the advertisement text, assets and landing pages it creates, and commits to the following:
- Advertisements describe only services within our Scope, and link to pages that accurately describe that service.
- Advertisements do not claim ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for any parameter, range or location outside our scope of accreditation.
- Advertisements comply with Google Ads policies, including its Misrepresentation policy, which prohibits misleading claims and omissions, and its Trademarks policy.
- A third party’s trademark is used in advertisement text only to truthfully identify equipment we actually service within our Scope, and never to suggest affiliation, authorization or endorsement.
- Advertising platforms may automatically assemble or generate advertisement text from website content. If an automatically generated advertisement ever describes a service outside our Scope, it does not reflect an offer by Techmaster, and we will remove or correct it when identified.
- If a trademark owner or any other party raises a concern about one of our advertisements, we review it promptly and modify or withdraw the advertisement where appropriate.
Under Google’s policies, trademark terms may be used as search keywords. U.S. courts evaluate keyword advertising under the ordinary likelihood-of-confusion analysis, giving weight to the content and labeling of the advertisement itself (for example, Network Automation, Inc. v. Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc., 638 F.3d 1137 (9th Cir. 2011)). Techmaster writes its advertisements so that the advertiser is clearly identified and no affiliation with another company is implied.
8.4 Organic search results and AI summaries. Search engines, such as Google and Bing, and AI assistants decide independently how our pages are ranked, titled, excerpted and summarized. Google states that the generation of title links on its results page is completely automated, and that snippets are created automatically from page content and other sources. Techmaster does not write, approve or control these third-party titles, snippets, rankings, AI-generated overviews or answers. A search-engine or AI summary that describes a service outside our Scope does not reflect an offer by Techmaster, and does not modify this Notice or any written quotation.
8.5 Third-party websites. Directories, review sites, marketplaces and other third parties may publish information about Techmaster that we did not author. We are not responsible for that information, and it does not bind Techmaster. Please confirm details with us directly.
9Accreditation statements
References to “ISO/IEC 17025,” “accredited” or the ANAB accreditation on this website apply only to the calibration and testing activities listed on our scope of accreditation, at the laboratory locations listed on it. Calibration outside that scope, where we confirm it in writing, is performed as NIST-traceable work and is identified as such on the certificate. Our current certificate and scope are available on our Our Scope page and in the ANAB directory of accredited organizations.
10Disclaimer of warranties; limitation
Informational Content is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Techmaster disclaims all express or implied warranties with respect to Informational Content, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Techmaster is not liable for decisions made in reliance on Informational Content without a written quotation for the specific service.
Nothing in this Notice limits any warranty or obligation stated in a written quotation, order acknowledgment or calibration certificate, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11Corrections and reporting concerns
We aim for every statement about our services to be accurate. If you believe any content on this website, in our advertising or in a search-engine summary of our pages misdescribes our services or anyone else’s products, please tell us at quality@techmaster.us. We will review it promptly and correct, clarify or remove the content where appropriate.
12Cooperation with manufacturers and brand owners
Techmaster is committed to working cooperatively and in good faith with equipment manufacturers, brand owners and their authorized service providers.
- Notice and correction. If a manufacturer or brand owner believes any content on our website or in our advertising misdescribes its products, its service requirements or our relationship with it, we invite it to contact us. We will review the concern promptly and correct, clarify or remove the content where appropriate.
- Customer referral. Where a customer’s instrument requires the manufacturer’s own service or an authorized provider, we will direct the customer to the manufacturer’s website or service channel. Manufacturers are welcome to provide their preferred service contact, and we will share it with customers who ask us about service for their products.
- Forwarding requests. With the customer’s permission, we will forward the customer’s service inquiry directly to the manufacturer or its designated provider.
- Help beyond our Scope. When a customer’s need falls outside our Scope, we will say so clearly, explain which part, if any, we can perform within our Scope, and help the customer identify an appropriate provider.
A referral is a courtesy to the customer. It does not create any affiliation, agency, endorsement or other relationship between Techmaster and the manufacturer or provider. Manufacturers and brand owners can reach us at quality@techmaster.us.
13General provisions
We may update this Notice at any time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. This Notice does not create any agreement, partnership or agency relationship, and does not waive any right or defense of Techmaster.
Not sure whether your instrument is within our Scope? Ask before you ship. We will give you a straight answer in writing.
