We rent instruments from Keysight (formerly Agilent), Tektronix, Fluke, Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu and other manufacturers. Techmaster is an independent laboratory and is not affiliated with these manufacturers.
What calibration comes with a rental?
A rental is only as useful as the certificate behind it, because the readings go into your report. Every rental ships with a current calibration certificate from a Techmaster laboratory. Check three things before it ships:
- The due date covers your last day of testing, not just the delivery date.
- The certificate level matches your quality system. It is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited where the parameters are on our ANAB scope, and NIST-traceable where they are not. Accredited vs NIST-traceable calibration explains the difference.
- It covers the ranges you will use, such as the frequency band, voltage or pressure range.

Particle counters are not on the ANAB scope at any Techmaster lab, and Techmaster does not calibrate them. Patient simulators and optical radiometers are not on the ANAB scope at any Techmaster lab either. Rentals of these ship with NIST-traceable certificates, not ISO/IEC 17025 accredited ones.
How do you rent test equipment from Techmaster?
- Send the requirement. The model, or the specification it must meet, your start date, the last day you need it and the certificate level you need.
- We confirm availability and terms for your window, including the accessories, leads and adapters that go with the instrument.
- Delivery or pickup. The instrument ships with its certificate, or we deliver it locally in Southern California, Silicon Valley and the Orlando area.
- Return or extend. Tell us before the end date if the project runs long; extending is usually simpler than a second rental.
Should you rent or buy?
Rent when the need is short or one-off: a project, a qualification campaign, a frequency band you need once, or cover while your own unit is away for calibration. Where do rentals ship from?
Rentals are supplied through our laboratories in Vista and Santa Clara, California, Orlando, Florida and San Antonio, Texas. Free local pickup and delivery is available in Southern California, Silicon Valley and the Orlando area; elsewhere, instruments ship to you with their certificate.
