What is the typical turnaround time for RF instrument repair?
Standard repair turnaround is 7–10 business days from receipt of the instrument, including post-repair ISO/IEC 17025 calibration verification. Many board-level repairs ship in 5 business days. Expedited service is available for urgent production-line and field-service cases — contact your account manager or sales@techmaster.us to schedule.
Do you offer a warranty on repaired RF and microwave instruments?
Yes. Every repair carries a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. If the same failure recurs within the warranty window, we repair the instrument again at no charge. The warranty covers the specific failure addressed; pre-existing or unrelated issues are quoted separately.
Will I receive a calibration certificate after the repair is complete?
Yes. Every repaired RF and microwave instrument is calibration-verified against NIST-traceable standards before it ships back. By default, repairs include an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration certificate against ANAB Cert AC-1736, with full measurement uncertainties. Z540 and traceable certificate options are also available on request.
Do you repair legacy, out-of-warranty, or OEM-discontinued RF instruments?
Yes — legacy support is one of Techmaster’s specialties. We routinely repair HP, Agilent, and Keysight instruments that the OEM has declared end-of-service, along with Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu, and Tektronix gear. Our technicians maintain a parts inventory and reverse-engineering capability for component-level rework on instruments going back to the 1980s.
What happens if my instrument is unrepairable?
If diagnosis determines the instrument cannot be economically repaired, you pay only an evaluation fee — no repair charge. We provide a written diagnosis report you can use for insurance, asset retirement, or replacement-cost justification. We can also quote a refurbished or rental replacement from our Sales & Rentals inventory.
