Which calibration fields are on the accredited scope?
Techmaster’s ANAB certificate AC-1736 covers eight calibration fields under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, plus dimensional measurement and environmental testing. Each field is accredited only at the labs shown. Ranges and uncertainties are in the scope document above.
| Calibration field | Highlights on scope | Accredited at | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrical, DC and low frequency | DC voltage to 1.1 kV, current to 1,000 A via shunts, high voltage to 100 kV (Vista) and 150 kV (San Antonio), high resistance to 10 PΩ (San Antonio) | All four labs | Electrical |
| Electrical, RF and microwave | Power sensor cal factors and SSB phase noise to 50 GHz, noise figure to 26.5 GHz | Vista, Santa Clara, Orlando | RF and microwave |
| Time and frequency | Frequency source 1 µHz to 50 GHz, measure to 12.4 GHz, time interval 50 ns to 999 s | Vista, Santa Clara, Orlando | Time and frequency |
| Length and dimensional | 1-D and 2-D including non-contact vision, surface plates, thread gages (Santa Clara); gauge blocks to 12 in, ring gages to 6.4 in (San Antonio) | Santa Clara, San Antonio | Dimensional |
| Mass and mass related | Torque to 1,000 lbf·ft (San Antonio), force to 100,000 lbf (Santa Clara), pressure to 15,000 psi (San Antonio), scales and balances, pipettes (Vista) | All four labs | Mass and mechanical |
| Thermodynamic | Environmental chambers (Santa Clara, Orlando); temperature and humidity measurement (Vista) | Santa Clara, Orlando, Vista | Thermodynamic |
| Acoustics and vibration | Accelerometers 0.2 to 36 g peak, 1 Hz to 10 kHz (Santa Clara); sound level meters at 94 and 114 dB (Vista) | Santa Clara, Vista | Vibration |
| Chemical quantities | pH against 4.01, 7.00 and 10.00 buffers; conductivity 100 to 10,000 µS/cm | Vista | Chemical |
Four more service disciplines draw on those fields rather than being fields of their own:
- Calibrators: draws on the electrical and pressure fields
- EMC and EMI: draws on the high voltage and RF fields; some immunity parameters are NIST-traceable
- Medical: draws on the electrical field; patient simulators are NIST-traceable
- Clean room: draws on the pressure and thermodynamic fields
Not on the scope at any Techmaster lab: patient simulators and optical radiometers and UV meters, which are calibrated with NIST-traceable certificates. Techmaster does not calibrate particle counters.
What is each lab accredited for?
All four accredited labs cover DC and low-frequency electrical calibration and torque. The differences are in the specialist work:
| Lab | What sets it apart on the scope | Contact |
|---|---|---|
| Vista, CA (headquarters) | High voltage to 100 kV, pipettes and gauss meters, pH and conductivity, sound level meters, RF to 50 GHz | (760) 536-0227 sales.sd@techmaster.us |
| Santa Clara, CA | The only lab for vibration and for 1-D and 2-D dimensional work; force to 100,000 lbf; environmental chambers; RF to 50 GHz | (510) 252-9001 sales.sv@techmaster.us |
| Orlando, FL | Environmental chambers, AC high current to 1,500 A, RF to 50 GHz | (407) 985-5104 sales.fl@techmaster.us |
| San Antonio, TX | Torque to 1,000 lbf·ft, high voltage to 150 kV, high resistance to 10 PΩ, pressure to 15,000 psi, gauge blocks and ring gages. No RF calibration | (210) 648-3133 cs.sa@techmaster.us |
How much calibration work is behind each discipline?
Calibrations completed in the last ten years, from Techmaster’s own records:
| Discipline | Calibrations (10 years) |
|---|---|
| Electrical | 56,750 |
| Mass and mechanical | 31,077 |
| Dimensional | 27,304 |
| RF and microwave | 21,307 |
| EMC and EMI | 4,908 |
| Calibrators | 1,491 |
| Time and frequency | 1,486 |
| Vibration | 1,002 |
| Chemical and acoustic | 559 |
| Biomedical test equipment | 428 |
Thermodynamic work is left out because most of it is healthcare temperature probes calibrated under managed contracts. Counts include a small share, about 3%, completed by partner laboratories.

Frequently asked questions
Is Techmaster accredited by ANAB or A2LA?
By ANAB. Techmaster Electronics holds ANAB certificate AC-1736 for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibration. You can check it in the ANAB directory of accredited organizations.
Are all Techmaster locations accredited?
No. Four labs are on the certificate: Vista and Santa Clara in California, Orlando in Florida and San Antonio in Texas. The Holly Springs, North Carolina lab and the Henderson, Nevada office are not on it.
How do I read the scope document?
Each line gives a parameter, its range, the expanded uncertainty the lab can achieve and the reference standard used. A certificate is accredited only for parameters listed in that lab's section of the scope.
What if my instrument is not on the scope?
We can often calibrate it with a NIST-traceable certificate instead of an accredited one. Tell us the make, model and the certificate level your quality system requires, and we confirm before any work starts.
Where is Techmaster accredited, and how do I reach each lab?
Techmaster Electronics, LLC is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory (ANAB cert AC-1736) with four accredited US labs in Vista CA, Santa Clara CA, Orlando FL and San Antonio TX.
