What usually drifts
- A multimeter's internal reference ages, so the most accurate DC voltage ranges are the first to drift.
- Current ranges and shunts shift after an overload, often without any visible fault.
- Hipot testers drift in output voltage and in the leakage current they measure as high-voltage parts age.

Is multimeter calibration accredited at every Techmaster lab?
Yes. DC and low-frequency electrical calibration, including DC voltage to 1.1 kV and current to 1,000 A via shunts, is on our ANAB ISO/IEC 17025 scope at Vista, Santa Clara, Orlando and San Antonio. The certificate lists the functions and ranges calibrated.
Where can I get a tera-ohmmeter or a 150 kV hipot tester calibrated?
At our San Antonio lab, the only Techmaster lab with high resistance to 10 PΩ and high voltage to 150 kV on its ANAB scope. Vista is accredited for high voltage to 100 kV.
Can you calibrate a 2 GHz oscilloscope?
Yes, at Vista, Santa Clara or Orlando, where oscilloscope calibration with leveled sine to 2.1 GHz is on our ANAB scope. The San Antonio lab's oscilloscope scope reaches 600 MHz.
