What usually drifts
- Humidity sensors drift faster than temperature sensors, so they often set the calibration interval.
- Thermocouples drift with time at high temperature, and the change cannot be reversed.
- Chamber uniformity changes as sensors, heaters and fans age, even when the controller reads correctly.

Frequently asked questions
Which labs calibrate environmental chambers?
Santa Clara and Orlando. Environmental chamber calibration is on the ANAB scope at those two labs only. Vista and San Antonio do not calibrate chambers.
Why do humidity probes need calibrating more often than temperature probes?
Humidity sensors drift with time, contamination and long exposure to high humidity, usually faster than temperature sensors. Set the interval from the as-found history on each certificate.
Can you calibrate temperature data loggers?
