Note on particle counters: This page is for general information only. Techmaster does not calibrate particle counters of any make or model, and particle counters are not on our ANAB ISO/IEC 17025 scope (certificate AC-1736). Techmaster only performs calibration services that are covered by our scope. For particle counter calibration, please contact your instrument’s manufacturer or its authorized service provider, and follow any service requirements they specify. If you prefer, send us your request and, with your permission, we will forward it to the manufacturer. See what is on our accredited scope.

What does the Orlando lab calibrate under ISO 17025?
Every capability below is on Techmaster’s ANAB accredited scope at the Orlando laboratory. Exact ranges and measurement uncertainties are on our published accreditation scope.

| Discipline | Accredited at Orlando | Typical instruments |
|---|---|---|
| RF and microwave | Power sensor cal factors to 50 GHz, SSB phase noise to 50 GHz, noise figure to 26.5 GHz | Spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters and sensors |
| Oscilloscopes | Leveled sine to 2.1 GHz | Bench and mixed-signal oscilloscopes |
| Environmental chambers | Temperature and humidity chamber calibration (Orlando and Santa Clara only) | Temperature and humidity test chambers |
| High current | AC high current to 1,500 A (Orlando and San Antonio) | Clamp meters, current probes, shunts |
| Torque | Torque tools | Torque wrenches, torque screwdrivers, torque testers |
| DC and low-frequency electrical | DC voltage to 1.1 kV, current measurement to 1,000 A via shunts | Multimeters, DC power supplies, electronic loads, calibrators |
Particle counters are not on the ANAB scope at any Techmaster lab, and Techmaster does not calibrate them. Patient simulators and optical radiometers are not on the ANAB scope at any Techmaster lab either. We calibrate them with NIST-traceable certificates, not ISO/IEC 17025 accredited ones.
Which Florida industries do we calibrate for?
Florida’s Space Coast, the Orlando simulation and defense corridor and the Tampa Bay medical-device cluster all run on test equipment that must be calibrated on a schedule an auditor can check. The Orlando lab calibrates for:
- Aerospace and defense: RF, microwave and oscilloscope calibration with accredited certificates for AS9100 and defense quality programs.
- Medical devices and pharmaceuticals: electrical safety, environmental chambers and torque tools for ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated production.
- Electronics and telecom: spectrum analyzers, signal generators and power meters used in design and production test.
- Manufacturing and utilities: clamp meters, high-current probes, multimeters and torque wrenches used in maintenance.
How do Florida customers send equipment?
Customers anywhere in Florida can ship instruments to the Orlando lab, and we offer free local pickup and delivery in the Orlando area. Contact us to confirm pickup for your location, or to ask about on-site calibration for equipment that should not leave your facility. For lab hours and directions, see the Orlando calibration lab page.
Outside Florida, the same accredited calibration services are available from our Vista, Santa Clara and San Antonio laboratories. See our accredited calibration services and all calibration lab locations.
How do you choose a calibration lab in Florida?
Several accredited calibration labs operate in Florida, and the right one depends on what you need calibrated. Check these points before you send equipment:
- Scope, not just the certificate. An ISO/IEC 17025 certificate only covers the parameters and ranges on the lab’s scope. Confirm your instrument’s range is on it.
- Accreditation body. Look the lab up in the ANAB or A2LA directory and read its current scope.
- As-found data. Your quality system needs as-found and as-left results to assess work done with an instrument that drifted.
- Measurement uncertainty. Accredited certificates report it for every point. Our guide to reading an ISO 17025 certificate shows what to look for.
Other accredited calibration providers in Florida include TMI Calibration, Florida Metrology, Alpha & Omega Calibration Services and PreciseCal Services. Check each provider’s current scope in its accreditation body’s directory, as we recommend for any lab, including ours. Our comparison of US calibration providers covers the national labs.
