Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Techmaster energy, power, and utility test equipment services.

Are your cal certs accepted on NERC-CIP audits?
Yes. Our ANAB-accredited ISO/IEC 17025 cal certs satisfy NERC-CIP-007 cyber-security and CIP-010 configuration management documentation requirements at investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, ISOs / RTOs, and cooperative power providers.
Do you calibrate synchrophasor / PMU references per IEEE C37.118?
Yes. PMU and PDC test sets are calibrated against UTC(USNO)-traceable atomic clocks at our labs, with phase / frequency / amplitude accuracy verified per IEEE C37.118.1a / 118.2.
Can you support wind-turbine flange bolting and tower fastener torque?
Yes. We calibrate and rent Skidmore-Wilhelm bolt-tension calibrators, torque multipliers, and tower-flange hydraulic tensioner load cells — per ASME B30 and turbine OEM specs.
Do you support nuclear-grade calibration?
We support ASME N509 / N510 and ANS-grade fastener and pressure-instrument calibration. We are not currently 10 CFR 50 Appendix B accredited; for safety-related nuclear work, contact us to discuss scope.
Which Techmaster locations serve energy customers?
All five US labs serve energy / utility customers. On-site service throughout the continental US for substation, wind-farm, and gas-turbine field calibration.
